Campamento de Marcha - Marching camp



Debajo puede verse un esquema de como se organizaba un campamento de marcha para una ó dos noches .Todos los campamentos estaban organizados de la misma forma con lo cual era muy facil para los mensajeros entregar mensajes ,siempre sabían a donde dirigirse.El campamento se organizaba en torno a dos ejes que eran las calles principales , Cardus (eje Norte-Sur) y Decumanus (eje Este-Oeste).
El campamento estaba rodeado por un foso y  una empalizada que se montaba con dos estacas de doble punta que portaba cada legionario (Pila Muralia ) durante la marcha.

Below you can see a drawing of what a marching camp , for one or two nights, looked like.All camps were organised in the same manner so messangers knew always where to go to deliver their messages.The camp was organised around two axis which were the main streets,Cardus (axis North-South) and Decumanus (axis East-West).
The camp was sorrounded by a  ditch and a fence, this was made up by crossing two double-point stakes that every legionary carried (pila muralia) during the march.
